How to set up attendance cut-off date for payroll processing?

Modified on Wed, 28 Feb 2024 at 04:44 PM

The attendance cut-off date is the last day that an employee's attendance will be included in the salary processing for a pay period. Only the loss of pay (LOP) days that occur before the cut-off date will be considered during salary processing. Any LOP days that happen after the cut-off date will not be considered for salary processing for that month.

To set up the attendance cut-off date, log in to your Keka portal and click on Payroll (1) on the left pane.

Then go to Settings (2) and find Pay Groups (3). If you have multiple Pay Groups, choose the one you want to work on and then, click on the configure icon (4) against it.

On the window that pops up, choose Pay Cycle (1)Click on the 3 dots and then on Update settings (2).

On the Update Payroll Cycle Settings window, click the Change end date to open the Change pay & attendance end date window

Here, check the box against the option 'Employees' attendance cut-off date is not same as pay period end date'.

Now you will find an option to choose the attendance cut-off date from the dropdown. Once you set up the date, click on Update.

Then will get a confirmation dialog box, follow the instructions on it, and then click Yes, Update Settings

This action cannot be undone.

Now click Update on the Update Payroll Cycle Settings window also to close it.

After the attendance cut-off date, if there is any LOP or penalty till the end of the calendar month, it will be reflected as Arrear LOP or Penalty in the next month's payroll.
