Where to preview the PF calculation of an employee before finalizing the payroll

Before finalizing the payroll for a specific month, it's essential to review the system's calculations to ensure accuracy and avoid errors. In situations where you have questions or uncertainties about the system-generated PF contribution amount, you can refer to the pay register to view a detailed calculation of how the system arrived at the final amount. This information can help you clarify any confusion and ensure that you are paying the correct amount to your employees.

So we are going to show you how it can be done on the Keka portal. 

Go to the Payroll (1) menu and click on Run Payroll (2). 

Scroll down to find the Payroll outcome and then, click on the View pay register (3) button under it.

Search out the name of the employee (4). 

Once the name of the employee appears, use the slider (5) at the bottom of the page (pay register) to navigate to the PF Employee column. If you hover your mouse over the PF amount against the name of the employee, you can find a calculation icon (6). Click on it.

Clicking on the calculation icon (6) will pop up an overlay window. Here, you can preview the employee’s PF calculation before finalizing the payroll.
