Can Keka display negative salaries in Payslip/Payregister?

Modified on Tue, 06 Feb 2024 at 03:14 PM

When an employee has more deductions than the gross earnings for any month, the next salary will be negative. However, in Keka, we do not have the option to display negative net pay in regular Payslip or Payregister. The net pay in such cases will be 0.

Here you can see that the Gross of the employee is 100000 and the deductions is 109200 and there is a PF deduction of 1800 but the Net pay is not -11000 but 0.

Only in cases of Exit when the employee full and final settlement is being processed, you can see negative values in the Final settlement Payslip. But the same will not reflect in the pay register.

As you can see there is a recovery amount of 45756 from the employee that is displayed in the final settlement payslip but not in the pay register.

Hope you are now clear about the Negative net pay in Keka. Need more help? You can refer to the other articles available or Contact us!
