How to change the effective date of a Tracking Policy?

Modified on Tue, 21 Mar 2023 at 04:48 PM

If a Tracking Policy has been updated with new or modified terms and conditions, the effective date may need to be changed to reflect when the new policy takes effect.

To change the effective date of a tracking policy on Keka, navigate to Time Attend (1), then go to Attendance tracking (2) and open the Tracking Policies (3) tab.

Select the relevant policy and go to the Versions (4) section. Now click on the Update icon (5) to open the Update Tracking Policy window.

In the Basic Information step, choose the effective date for the new settings, which will create a new version of the policy. Click on Save and Continue and then you can exit the window.

The updated settings of the tracking policy will only be effective from the date mentioned and is dependent on the weekly and monthly penalization cycle. Until the new effective date, the previous settings of the tracking policy will be kept the same.
