How to allow employees to apply for past dated leaves?

Modified on Wed, 03 Apr 2024 at 03:13 PM

Not all leaves are planned leaves and sometimes employees may need to apply for leaves after they are back in office. In case your organization allows employees to apply for past dated leaves, you need to enable it in the settings for the leave type.

You can enable this by going to Time Attend (1) and selecting Leave (2) and then Leave Plans (3)

Under Leave Plans, select the Leave plan and in that, select the Leave Type in which you want to enable past dated leave application. Under Actions go to the Menu (Three dots) and click Settings (4).

Once we click on Settings, a new window will open, where you have to click Save & Continue on the first section, Accrual & Accumulation To visit the next section, Applying Leave & Approvals.

Now scroll down to Additional Settings and check the box stating Allow applying up to __ days after the incident (5) and enter the number of days in the past you allow employees to apply leave for.

You can also use, Prevent applying back-dated leave after __ day of the calendar month (6) and select the day of the month from the drop-down. This setting will restrict employees from applying for back-dated leaves after the selected date.

Once you have configured the setting as per your requirement, Save & Continue to the last section and then Save & Close.

Once we make any changes in the settings of the leave type will come into effective for all the employees who are assigned to that leave plan.

We cannot make any changes in the leave plan/leave types for single employee.
