Disabling attendance tracking for specific employees

We are thrilled to introduce the latest addition to our suite of HR management tools - "Disabling Attendance Tracking." This empowering feature allows you to conveniently disable attendance tracking for certain individuals within your organization, specifically tailored to cater to high-level executives, such as the CEO or CTO, whose attendance is not traditionally monitored.

Why is it needed?

We empathize with the challenges faced by HR professionals who have encountered issues with high-level employees affecting company analytics by not marking their attendance. This absence of attendance records often leads to an inaccurate representation of absenteeism rates and misplacement in the absconding tab.

Accessing the Feature

To harness the power of "Disabling Attendance Tracking," you have two convenient options:

Option 1: Assigning during Employee Onboarding

While onboarding an employee from the Org tab, during the third step, you'll find a new option under the capture scheme specifically designed to disable attendance tracking for that employee.

By enabling this option, the capture scheme, tracking policy, and overtime policy fields will be automatically disabled for the selected individual.

Upon saving the information, the system will seamlessly process the changes, ensuring an effortless onboarding experience.

Option 2: Assigning from the Employee's Job Tab

To assign this feature to an existing employee, simply locate the employee's profile and navigate to the Job tab > Employee Time section.

Once there, enable the option "Disable Attendance Tracking" to apply the feature to the chosen individual.

Confirm the data and save. This action will disable the Capture scheme, Tracking policy as well as Overtime policy. Please note that this change will take effect from the current day onwards, leaving past dates unaffected.

Nuances

  • If any shift & weekly off rules and allowances have been previously assigned to the employee, they will be automatically disabled along with the attendance tracking.
  • The employee, upon having attendance tracking disabled, will be excluded from all attendance reports, absconding records, capture scheme and tracking policy assignments, as well as any attendance dashboard.
  • At present, bulk disabling of attendance is not supported by our system. Each employee's attendance must be individually modified.
  • Notwithstanding the disabled attendance tracking, shifts and weekly off will continue to remain active as they are vital for running the payroll process seamlessly.
  • With attendance tracking disabled, the system will refrain from automatically penalizing the employee for any attendance-related matters.
