In every workplace, a diverse mix of workers contribute to the smooth functioning of the organisation. From full-time employees to part-time staff, consultants, and freelancers, each worker type brings unique skills and perspectives to the table. Managing this variety effectively is crucial for organizational success. With the innovative feature of Worker Types in Keka, this task becomes simpler and more efficient.

Worker Types allow businesses to categorize their workforce based on roles, contracts, or other criteria, enabling streamlined management and allocation of resources. Additionally, Keka empowers organisations to set specific contract durations for each worker type, ensuring flexibility and adherence to company policies.

Let's explore deeper into the significance of worker types and understand how Keka facilitates seamless worker types management.

In the add worker type tab, provide the name of the worker type and a short description of the worker type. You can also set a duration of employment for the worker type. Managing an Existing Worker Type

The list of the existing worker types is displayed in the worker types tab along with the data of number of employees, minimum contract duration and maximum contract duration. If you wish to edit a worker type, just click on the Three Dots next to it and choose Edit.  In the edit worker type screen you can make necessary changes and click on Update. Additionally you can also Delete a worker type using the same option.

Note: If you want to delete a worker type that has employees associated with it, you can't do it directly. First, you have to change the employment type of those employees. Once they're no longer linked to that worker type, then you can delete it.
