Once payroll is rolled back can we retrieve the data and revert the payroll so that there is no change in the salaries?

After you finalize the payroll, you can no longer make any changes to the months payroll processing. It will be considered as the final amount for payroll processing and any changes made in the payroll settings or income tax declaration changes will not affect the Finalized months. In case you would like to make any changes, you need to rollback the payroll for either all employees or a group of employees based on the requirement.

If there are any changes made to the payroll settings or declaration for the employees then when you do a payroll rollback, the salary amount of employees change. We are unable to retrieve the salary data of the previous finalization before rollback in such cases and so we do not recommend payroll rollbacks.

In case you have processed the payroll incorrectly for an employee and would like to change it, then we recommend that you download the pay register before you rollback the payroll so that in case there is any change in the salary amount we can override the components for the month to match our requirement and process the payroll.

Hope it is now clear that we cannot retrieve data and revert to the previous pay register after it is rolled back. We can only override the components and match the payroll if we have the previous payregister available. Need more help? You can refer to the other articles available or Contact us!
