Modified on Thu, 18 Jan 2024 at 03:36 PM

Managers are often best positioned to assess the performance and contribution of their team members. With Keka HR's new feature, managers can now recommend salary increments during review cycles. This recommendation can be based on the employee's performance, achievements, and alignment with company goals.

Streamlining Approvals with a Structured Chain:

To maintain oversight and ensure equity, Keka HR has introduced an approval chain for salary increment recommendations.

Setting up the Approval Chain:

In the 'Salary Increment Settings', specify whether approval is required for salary increment changes by clicking on the toggle option. Define the approval chain by selecting the roles or employees who will have the authority to approve increments at each level.

For Administrators: Inviting Managers to Recommend Salary Increments

Initiate Manager Invitation:

After the settings have been enabled navigate to the Salary Increment section within the Keka HR platform. Find the employee for whom you want to invite a manager to recommend a salary increment and click on the 'Invite' button.

In the 'Invite Manager to recommend salary increment' pop-up, choose the role or specific manager who will provide the recommendation. This could be the reporting manager, dotted line manager, L2 manager, department head, or business unit head. Click 'Invite' to send a notification to the selected manager.

On the salary increment recommendation page, managers will see the employee's rating and can decide if they recommend them for promotion(1). Managers can enter the percentage(2) of the salary increment and provide a justification for their recommendation. It is important to provide a reason(3) for the increment to maintain transparency within the salary review process.

After making sure all the details are accurate click on submit button.
